Kazuho Chasen - Handmade Traditional Japanese Craft
The Kazuho Chasen is a handmade bamboo matcha whisk used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. It is crafted from high-quality bamboo grown in the Nara bamboo forests, and each piece is carefully made by skilled artisans.
What is Kazuho?
"Kazuho" refers to the number of tines. This chasen has approximately 70 tines, making it ideal for whisking matcha into a fine, frothy foam.
Traditional Craftsmanship
The chasen is made using traditional techniques, where the surface of the bamboo is thinly shaved and the tips are finely split. This technique is one of Japan's proudest examples of craftsmanship.
Natural Materials
It is made using only natural materials, without any chemical treatments. You can use it with peace of mind.
How to Use
- Before use, soak the chasen in water or warm water to soften the tips.
- Place matcha in a tea bowl and pour hot water.
- Use the chasen to whisk the matcha. Whisking with a "shaka shaka" sound will calm your mind.
How to Care
- After use, rinse with water and carefully remove any remaining matcha from the tips.
- Do not store it in the original plastic case, but dry it thoroughly in a well-ventilated place.
