An Important Announcement Regarding Our Prices

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your continued love and support of our matcha. We are truly thankful for your kind words and for encouraging our entire team everyday.

Today, we are writing to you to be transparent about the current situation surrounding our matcha and to inform you of an upcoming price revision.

As you may know, the popularity of Japanese matcha has surged in recent years, not only in Japan but around the world. It brings us great joy to see this piece of Japanese culinary culture receive global recognition.

However, this rapid growth in demand has created a reality where production struggles to keep pace. Competition for the highest quality tea leaves, especially the "Ichibancha" (first-flush tea) that is essential to our matcha's flavor, has become incredibly fierce. Furthermore, this year's harvest is expected to decrease by about 20% compared to last year. As a result, the cost of our raw tea leaves has continued to soar to unprecedented levels.

In light of these circumstances, we have made a difficult decision. We will be revising the prices of some of our products, effective on Monday, August 4th at 11:00PM JST. Thus, until August 4th, we will be slightly relaxing our usual purchase limits.

For us, compromising on quality to maintain our current prices was simply not an option. We believe our mission, and our sincerest commitment to you, is to honor the dedication of the farmers who cultivate our tea leaves with such care, and to continue delivering the authentic, tranquil moments that only true matcha can provide.

This price revision is, therefore, a firm promise to you that we will never neglect the quality you have come to expect from us. Additionally, we have begun working on the development and procurement of a new matcha lineup.

We are truly sorry for the burden this may place on you. It pains us to do so, but we hope for your understanding that this decision is essential for us to protect Japan's wonderful matcha culture and carry it forward into the future.

We will continue to strive tirelessly in our pursuit of quality to bring the perfect, comforting cup of matcha into your daily life.
